This summer Eastern will be retiring the current student network file shares, known as the Z: Drive. The new default file storage system will be Microsoft OneDrive for Business. ITS will be migrating all student data from the local Z: drives to O365 OneDrive for Business in the Microsoft cloud. This move will not only provide greater accessibility and more granular recovery, it significantly increases storage for each student by 20,000 times the current allocation.
Additional information will be emailed during the summer and again in the fall as students return to campus. The ITS Help Desk will be available to assist all students.

New Safari 11.1 and BlackBoard issue.
A problem was discovered with the new release of Safari 11.1. If a user is trying to upload something (assignments being the biggest concern) it will fail with a message similar to, "Failed to submit Assignment. Please try again." The problem stems from something that changed within Safari, for now the best way around this is to just not use Safari. Please another browser such as Firefox or Chrome as a work around.
Blackboard App (Formerly Bb Student) Version 2.9.8 Now Available. Last month Blackboard announced the renaming of the Bb Student app to Blackboard. With the latest release of the app, that name change is now official across iOS, Android, and Windows app stores.
